Abbey Community Centre (Over 50s)

Abbey Community Centre runs a selection of programmes for over 50s which include:

  • Community Time Camden: (becoming a member of our CTC group means getting to know other people aged 50 and over with all sorts of different personalities, interests and skills).
  • Debt and money advice and benefits advice sessions with Age UK Camden:  a free and confidential information and advice service for people age 55+, provided by an accredited money advisor.  Booking is essential.
  • Information & Advice sessions:  for older people, their families and carers provided by an experienced advisor through a booked appointment.
  • Other activities: Men's healthy eating; London Freedom Pass trips with Simone; Table tennis, Chess club, Drama club; Singing; Art classes; Creative writing; Exercise and many more activities

  • CHAPS: (CHAPS is a flexible way for men over 50 to get involved with activities, learn new skills and share their interests.

  • Kilburn Good Neighbours: Our good neighbours would love to pay you a visit and can help with anything from gardening to DIY or even doing some shopping for you. They would also be able to help with advice and IT support for 60+. They would love to sit down with you over a cup of tea to hear how you are getting on too.

  • Primrose Hill Neibours Help:  Befriending visits and help getting out and about for local older people.
