Leasehold Advisory Service

The Leasehold Advisory Service LEASE was set up in 1994 to provide free information and initial advice and guidance to members of the public about residential leasehold and park homes law.

 

Services:

  • Free advice about fire safety in leasehold provided by booking a telephone appointment or by writing to us. Appointments are strictly limited to 15 minutes.
  • Services for professionals, including a paid advice line, training and webinars. The fees from these services go to support our free service for leaseholders
  • First point of contact for leaseholders
  •  independent and impartial from legally qualified adisors 
  • Help given if your enquiry is about a flat or leasehold house with a lease longer than 21 years
  • Advice given on park homes

 

Advice can be provided in the following languages:

  • French, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Basque, Albanian, Mauritian (Creole)

 

LEASE is not able to advise on:

  • assured or assured shorthold tenancies (eg less than 21 years and where rent is paid weekly or monthly)
  • commercial leases (a shop or other business)
