LGBT Carers Project - community and support for LGBT carers

Carers often don't get the support they need and are entitled to. This is especially true for carers who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans or queer. Through this project carers can meet other people who understand what they are going through, because they are going through it too. We run regular workshops, talks and social events for LGBT carers in London. We are based in Hackney but open to carers London wide.

We offer a friendly community and support LGBT carers, both online through our forum and face to face. In our monthly support groups you can meet others who are going through the same things you are. The group provides a space where you can talk about your concerns and experience of being an LGBT carer, and build a network of support for yourself and the group around you.

Support groups are:

  • Always free to attend
  • Open to all
  • Confidential. Everything that happens in the group stays in the group.

The wesbite contains a directory of links to LGBT organiastions including those for specific religious groups.
