Age UK Camden is a local, voluntary organisation supporting the needs and interests of older people in the London Borough of Camden. It offers a range of services to support, inform, advise and inspire older people resident in the borough.
We believe that age should be valued. We aim to promote the well being of older citizens in Camden. We work to make later life a fulfilling and positive experience.
We make a difference to hundreds of people's lives every week.
Our services include:
Charity shop
Customers can pick up a bargain at 53 Leather Lane. We also request good quality donations.
Counselling
A free service for people aged 55 and over, to talk through any issues or problems. Specifice services are provided in community languages, and for those with dementia.
Information, advice and advocacy
Offering support with one-off queries, as well as extended support for more complex issues, and benefit checks to maximise income.
Independent living service
Providing practical help with online shopping and with everyday tasks in the home.
Our services also include:
Computer training, Shopping service, Dementia services, Good Neighbours schemes, Nail Care service, Outreach service, Care Navigation, Community Connectors, Day Centres, Volunteering, Subsidiary organisations are Opening Doors London, Ageing Better in Camden, and Personalisation Support in Camden.
