Age UK Camden - NW3 Good Neighbour Scheme

Good neighbour scheme for frail, isolated, housebound, older people in NW3 and the Primrose Hill area. Volunteers visit and befriend people in their own homes keeping them company, helping with small tasks, such as reading aloud or accompanying people for walks etc. Volunteers are matched with people who fulfil the scheme's criteria.

Befriending services offer supportive, reliable relationships through volunteer befrienders to people with mental health problems who would otherwise be socially isolated.
For some people later in their life the cells in the brain that are related to mental ability become damaged, causing a gradual decrease in the ability to think and remember.
