Community Advice & Support Scheme (CASS)

Community Advice & Support Scheme is a charity based in Whitechapel which provides practical assistance for disabled and elderly clients. 

Practical activities include:

  • Environmental jobs such as mowing lawns, planting flowers and general cleaning of the environment. Car washing and cleaning.
  • Help with painting and decorating, minor repairs, DIY, removals (home, office and domestic) and recycling.

There is a charge for these services but the costs are subsidised.

  • Help with form filling such as benefit application forms and other types of advice, both of which incur a small charge.

  • Telephone and face-to-face advice on welfare benefits, housing, debt, social services and disabled access requirement. Clients are signposted to other organisations where we are unable to assist them.
